Empathy and Communication
Empathy in the Evolarra view is not merly putting yourself in someone else's perspective. This usually results in what would I do in their position, which is missing the point. The question Empathy asks is, who are they, how do they see the world and why, what's their story, what is their role in the world they came to identify with. So, basically it's not so much as putting yourself in their perspective, but in their skin, their identity, their beliefes and how this makes them feel. What you are asking what does their Mind look like.
Communication then, is not about saying what you think. It's about understanding your Mind and the Mind of your communication recievers, their beliefs, values, needs and emotions, and creating a message in from and timing that is suited to make the meaning you want to be understood work in the mind of the reciever. It is thus not relevant what you are or intend to communicate, but into what meaning the receivers mind decodes your message. It's all to easy to revert to the point of saying, but I communicated it exactly as it is; without the perspecitve and mindfulness to step out of your own belief system and recongnise, that this is just one of 8 billion on this planet, and the wrong one for everyone but one, yourself.
